What is the most popular sidearm in use today in American Law Enforcement?
My personal choice is the SigSauer P226 in .40 caliber - I personally carried one of these in the P228 variant while a law enforcement officer in NC and it was the best duty weapon that I ever carried.
My other choice would be a Colt M1911 or M1991 Govt model - however as most departments no longer permit SA only pistols, this absolute masterpiece of a sidearm is being lost - too bad it couldn't be revived in a DA model for law enforcement. (By the way; I vehemently dislike DAOnly pistols!)
